Students of Samara University Participated in the All-Russian Conference of Young Chemists

This year’s conference became one of the largest, gathering participants from 40 cities and 102 organizations

A delegation from Samara National Research University attended the 28th All-Russian Conference of Young Chemists, held in Nizhny Novgorod from April 15 to 17, 2025.

The Nizhny Novgorod conference is a major annual event that brings together young and promising scientists from across Russia and abroad. During the conference, participants engage with colleagues’ research, attend presentations by professors, doctors, and candidates of sciences, and present their own reports and posters dedicated to various fields of chemistry.

This year’s conference was among the largest to date, with attendees representing 40 cities and 102 organizations. Esteemed scientists from leading universities, including Moscow State University (MSU)St. Petersburg State University (SPbU)Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), and many others, contributed to the sessions. Over three days, participants not only exchanged scientific insights but also learned about educational programs offered by Russian universities.

The delegation from Samara University included:

·         Artem Kochetkov, a fourth-year student at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, who presented a report titled “Algorithm for Ligand Selection from CIF Files” (supervisor: Alexey Rafikovich Abdulyanov, Ph.D. in Chemistry);

·         Sofya Tolkacheva, a second-year student at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, who delivered a report on “Study of Complexation of Synthetic Pharmaceutical Substances with Cyclodextrin” (supervisor: Yulia Gennadyevna Kuraeva, Ph.D. in Chemistry).

Beyond the conference, the delegation explored Nizhny Novgorod’s landmarks, including the Nizhny Novgorod KremlinChkalov StaircaseSwitzerland Park, and the Botanic Garden of the Nizhny Novgorod Institute.
