Samara University Recognized with Awards at the Anniversary Forum "StudTurizm-2025"

The University is among the winners of the regional scientific tourism development project "Wings of Science"

The international forum-festival "StudTurizm-2025" has concluded in Moscow – the main event of the program's anniversary season, which marks 5 years this year. The forum gathered over 600 participants: students, ambassadors, representatives from leading universities, travel clubs, and tourism industry experts.

Samara University, which has been actively participating in the program almost since its launch, was represented at the forum by the head of the Student Tourism Center, Elena Besperstova, and the program's Media Ambassador, Arina Kirgizova.

Recognition of the University's Merits

A key moment was the presentation of a letter of gratitude to the university for its significant contribution to the development of youth and student tourism in Russia and worldwide, as well as for its initiatives in implementing the "StudTurizm" program.

Large-Scale Event with High-Level Participation

Participants were congratulated on the program's anniversary by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Olga Petrova, who conveyed greetings from Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism and Tourist Infrastructure Development Sangadzhi Tarbaev addressed the attendees with a welcoming speech. They noted how the program has grown from a local pilot project into an international community.

Samara Project in the Finals of the Science Popularization Accelerator

Special attention was paid to science popularization tourism. At the grand finale of the federal project accelerator, Samara Oblast was represented by its Minister of Science and Higher Education, Mark Shleenkov. Out of 58 regional teams, only 15 made it to the finals, and the Samara project was among them.

Developed in partnership with universities and enterprises, the route "Wings of Science of Samara Oblast: From the Laboratory to Space" combines education, technology, and the region's tourism potential.

The route includes university facilities:

·         Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics;

·         Aircraft Engine History Center;

·         Botanic Garden;

·         Smart Butterfly House;

·         Carbon Test Site.

The project's implementation will increase the number of young specialists involved in high-tech industries and enhance the popularization of science through tourism.
