A Rilke poetry recitation competition was held at the Primakov Center as part of “Der Klub” events, dedicated to the anniversary of the great Austrian poet. This event brought together university and school students united by their love for his poetry.

The competition began with a welcome speech from the organizers, who emphasized the significance of Rilke's work, his contribution to the exchange of spiritual experience between peoples of different countries, and his influence on world literature. Participants presented their favorite poems, immersing the audience in the world of profound emotions and philosophical reflections characteristic of Rilke's poetry.

Each reciter strove to convey not only the words but also the feelings embedded in the poet's lines. Participants read both well-known works—such as "Geburt Christi" and "Der Dichter"—and lesser-known poems that also touched the hearts of the audience.

The jury consisted of experienced philologist-teachers. They evaluated technical performance, emotional expressiveness, text interpretation, pace, rhythm, intonation, and overall impression. It is worth noting the high level of preparation of all participants!

The winners and prize recipients were:

• 1st place – Damir Khismatov (1st year Master's student, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics)

• 2nd place – Lyubov Granikina (1st year Bachelor's student, Faculty of Philology), Gleb Lutsenko (Grade 9, MBOU "Gymnasium No. 133")

• 3rd place – Igor Shirobokov (Grade 11, Gymnasium No. 1)

The Department of German Philology thanks all participants, spectators, and jury members for their active participation and support. The competition became not only a platform for self-expression but also a meeting place for people united by their love for poetry.
