On October 9-10, 2025, the scientific conference "Aluminum of the New Era: Innovation and Prospects" was held at the IT Park in Naberezhnye Chelny.
The conference was attended by students from the Institute of Aerospace Engineering: Ekaterina Ivanus, Elvina Urazbayeva, and Dmitry Fomichev. The conference discussed the prospects for using aluminum in various industries. Particular attention was paid to its environmental benefits, manufacturability, and lightweight properties. The event also covered the possibility of integrating artificial intelligence into production processes. Participants exchanged experiences and discussed innovative developments in the aluminum industry. At their home Department of Metal Forming, the students conduct research under the guidance of Associate Professor V.A. Glushchenkov and Professor E.G. Demyanenko.
A tour to the "Tatprof" plant was organized for the conference participants, where the students got acquainted with the full production cycle of aluminum profiles – from casting to packaging. The trip was a valuable experience for the students, providing an opportunity not only to expand their theoretical knowledge but also to observe the practical application of modern technologies in the aluminum industry. The HR Director of the "Tatprof" plant, O.V. Yagudina, discussed with the students of Samara University the possibility of undergoing internships at the plant.
"To expand scientific cooperation, during the conference we established contacts with representatives of professional and educational organizations: M.V. Yatsenko, Business Development Director of the "Russian Extruders Alliance" Association, representatives of a metallurgical plant in Perm, and young scientists from the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering," writes Ekaterina Ivanus.
